Sara Rodrigues nasceu em Coimbra em 1970. Licenciada em Ciências da Nutrição pela Universidade do Porto em 1995, fez o Mestrado em Saúde Pública da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Coimbra em 1998. No ano de 2007 doutorou-se na Universidade do Porto com uma tese sobre o tema «Trends and socio-demographic differences in household food and nutrient availability over the last decade (1990-1995-2000) in Portugal: regional disparities and association with mortality patterns». Desde 1998 que é docente da Faculdade de Ciências da Nutrição e Alimentação da Universidade do Porto. Foi investigadora em alguns projectos europeus: ANEMOS – Expansion and update of existing nutrition monitoring systems; HECTOR – Eating Out: habits, determinants and recommendations for consumers and the European catering sector; ENHR – European Nutrition & Health Report I and II; DAFNE – European Food Availability Databank based on Household Budget Surveys III and IV. Participou na organização de importantes reuniões científicas na área da nutrição e saúde pública: o 8th International Conference on Culinary Arts and Science – ICCAS 2013 (Porto, 2013) e o II World Congress on Public Health Nutrition – I Latinamerican Congress of Community Nutrition (Porto, 2010). É membro da Comissão de Ética da Universidade do Porto desde 2012 e atualmente é também membro do Conselho Pedagógico da Faculdade de Ciências da Nutrição da Universidade do Porto.

 


 

Sara Rodrigues was born in Coimbra in 1970. She graduated in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Porto in 1995 and she did a Master in Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine from the University of Coimbra in 1998. She got her PhD in 2007 at the University of Porto with a thesis on “Trends and socio-demographic differences in household food and nutrient availability over the last decade (1990-1995-2000) in Portugal: regional disparities and association with mortality patterns”. Since 1998 she is a professor in the University of Porto Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences. She was a researcher in several European projects: ANEMOS – Expansion and update of existing nutrition monitoring systems; HECTOR – Eating Out: habits, determinants and recommendations for Consumers and the European catering sector; ENHR – European Nutrition & Health Report I and II; DAFNE – European Food Availability Databank based on Household Budget Surveys III and IV. She participated in the organizing of major scientific meetings in the field of public health nutrition: the II World Congress on Public Health Nutrition – I Latinamerican Congress of Community Nutrition (Porto, 2010) and the 8th International Conference on Culinary Arts and Science – ICCAS 2013 (Porto, 2013). She is a member of the Ethics Committee of the University of Porto since 2012 and is currently a member of the Educational Board of the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences, University of Porto.
