Currently is Assistant Professor in the Department of Science and Technology of the Open University (UAb). She holds a PhD in Biology (specialization in Microbiology) from the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Universidade Nova, a Master in Public Health from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra and a degree in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Porto. He teaches in the Degree in Environmental Sciences, in the Master in Food Science and in the Master in Citizenship and Environmental and Participation of the UAb. She is Vice-Coordinator of the Degree in Environmental Sciences.
